What our riders say

This trip was AMAZING !

This trip was AMAZING! From the first moment we had contact until the driver and guide brought us back to the hotel. They took care of everything! They picked us up in Paris and brought us back after the amazing day. The trip on the horses in the gardens of Versailles was a magical moment. The castle in the background, the gardens as far as you can look, walking aside the grand canal and we were the only three on horses! After the trip we had a phenomenal lunch at the restaurant of Alain Ducasse in Versailles. Just WOW! After the lunch they also fixed a private tour true Versailles to see al the high light. The guide that they arranged was such a friendly, nice and well known guide that told us a lot of stories that weren’t mainstream. Our tour ended in the old stables and after that our guide an driver (...) They brought us back to Paris overloaded with so many nice memories !

It was a perfect day for our family !

What a wonderful experience. Every detail was paid attention to and planned out. The horses were happy, well taken care of, and perfectly paired to my family's varied experience level. This created a once-in-a-lifetime ride for all of us through the Versailles gardens, which was amazing! The lunch was delicious and unforgettable, and then the guided tour of the palace was perfect. Everyone we met from Manon and Cedric who picked us up in the morning and took us around, to our horse guide to our tour guide at the palace, were friendly, passionate about what they were doing, and tremendous people to spend time with. I could not recommend Nomad Riders any stronger, it was a perfect day for our family !

Nomad Riders in Versailles is one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had

Nomad Riders in Versailles is one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had. The team was lovely, prompt and so kind. The horse I was paired with was a perfect gentleman, with a great personality. I did a ride and requested to trot, canter and gallop. My guide made sure we got to do as much of that as my heart desired. It was unforgettable. The horse was paired perfectly to my riding ability and he was beautiful. The guide was game to gallop a lot and the photographer was wonderful too. My driver picked me up with fresh croissants in the morning in an extremely comfortable car. The lunch afterwards was so lovely and the palace tour was great. I would go anywhere with Nomad riders after this experience !

The experience is something I will NEVER forget

Our day at Versailles with Nomad Riders was nothing short of magical. The entire day was a luxurious adventure with nothing not thought of! The experience is something I will NEVER forget, and hopefully I will be booking future rides with them. Rita and her team created an eventful day that feels like living in a dream. The only work you have to do is show up in your hotel lobby. They thought of, and took care of, all the details from Paris to Versailles and back again. 5 Star Service. 5 Star Adventure.

The palace of versailles

Of elegance, royal power & influence

Recognized as one of France’s best-known treasures and classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Palace of Versailles is undoubtedly one of the greatest achievements of French 17th-century architecture.

Once a royal hunting property, horseback riding in Versailles was an integral part of court life. In 1661, Louis XIV decided to transform the estate into the French Kings’ primary residence, establishing the Palace as the heart of royal power and the seat of the Court of Versailles.

Witnessing a century of French royalty and aristocracy, this palace provides an extraordinary window into French history, shedding light on the extravagant lifestyles led by the former kings until the upheaval of the French Revolution in 1789.

Now composed of the Palace, the gardens, the Trianon Palace and several buildings in town, the Estate of Versailles spreads over more than 800 hectares.

From the Equestrian Bronze Statue of Louis XIV, the glittering golden gates, the Hall of mirrors and the staggering 2300 rooms, prepare to be captivated by the epitome of royal French elegance along with a passionate historian and local guide.
